What is the applicability questions feature?
A focused space in the product where Admin users answer short follow-up questions that our Regulation Assessment Agent needs answers to in order to confirm which regulations apply. Each answer helps the new product complete more assessments and improve applicability accuracy.
Why does it matter?
Greater coverage: More regulations can be assessed by the Regulation Assessment Agent
Higher accuracy: Clear answers reduce uncertainty in applicability.
Encourages teamwork: Commenting and adding additional users keeps the right Admins involved without extra meetings or email.
Where does it live in the product?
In the product’s Assessment Profile, open the Applicability Questions tab (see below: “Answer Questions”). Admin users can work through up to 10 questions at a time.
Access: Only Admin users can use this tab, answer questions, tag Admins, or invite new Admins.
What does it enable Admin users to do?
Answer yes/no quickly with thumbs up (Yes) or thumbs down (No).
See context for each question:
The Regulation name, region and applicability logic are shown on the tool tip
Collaborate:
Users can click on the regulation for more info or to see all questions on that reg
Users can use the comments button to tag another Admin for help.
If the right person isn’t in the product yet, user can Invite a colleague (Admin only) from the invite a colleague button in the reg.
How does the 10-question flow work?
The product shows a batch of up to 10 questions that “need more info.”
Users answer as many as they can, then click Submit.
The product immediately loads the next 10 so they can keep going through them.
What happens when users click Submit
Clicking submit kicks off the processing of regulations in “needs more info” status again, this can take a few minutes.
Answered questions are saved and removed from their list.
The number of regulations in “needs more info” status drops depending on how many regulations are re-assessed as relevant or not relevant based on the new information
What will users see about progress?
The banner summarizes how many regulations still “need more information.”
Users will also see an improvement indicator (e.g., “Applicability up by 6% this month”) as the answers enable more assessments.
